Position summary:
SPARK! Plug, our docent program, helps engage guests in exploring SPARK! through their understanding of our mission, history, installations and future plans. We are looking for SPARK! Plugs willing to invest in building a creative future for the children of north Texas. This role would require a minimum of a 1 year commitment.

Some duties could include conducting tours, interacting with guests on weekends and during special events, answering questions regarding programs, children served, installations and the importance of developing creativity in children.

Skills and Abilities:
High level of enthusiasm and initiative. Interest in and/or knowledge of the arts or arts education. Ability to clearly communicate information and activities with guests of various ages and backgrounds. Excellent customer service skills.

Time Commitment:
Average 4 hours per month

Age Requirement: 21+

Ongoing Weekend Volunteer Shifts:
Shift 1      9:45am – 1:45pm
Shift 2      1:30pm – 4:30pm

Shift 1     11:45am – 2:45pm
Shift 2    2:30pm – 5:30pm

Other Shifts

Other opportunities vary but may include events such as daytime or evening, private or public functions.
