Scouts


Scout Programming will resume in Spring 2022! Stay Tuned!

Availability:

Reservations are available Monday–Thursday from 4pm-6pm, 5pm-7pm, or 6pm-8pm.

Requirements:

  • Minimum troop size:  10 scouts
  • Maximum troop size:  60 scouts

Fees:

 $15 per scout, $5 per adult, per 2-hour session (each badge or patch is a session)

  • Deposit is due within 21 days of booking, or earlier if another group is requesting the same date and time. 
  • Deposit is due at time of booking if reservation is made less than 21 days from visit.
  • Final payment is due no later than visit date. Business checks and credit cards are accepted. 
  • If you need to reschedule your visit, you must contact the programs department at least two (2) weeks before your scheduled visit date in order for your payment to be applied to a new visit date; rescheduling is based on availability.
  • Any changes with the number of scouts must be made seven (7) business days prior to visit.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

  • In the event that you are unable to attend a program for which you have registered, and your request is received by SPARK! with more than 30-days notice, you will receive a 25% refund.
  • If SPARK! is closed due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. inclement weather, utility outage, or any other issue that may prohibit our ability to deliver a true SPARK! experience) all programs will automatically be canceled and 100% refund will be issued. If SPARK! is open, but your group chooses not to come, no refund will be issued.

Making Games Badge (GS Brownies): Use your imagination to create a brand new, never seen before game and then play it with your troop!

Automotive 1: Design Badge (GS Brownies): Learn how automotive designers come up with ideas for new vehicles, then sculpt your own vehicle!

Dancer Badge (GS Brownies): Learn about different types of dance, then take to the floor and create a dance of your own!

Inventor Badge (GS Brownies): Think like an Inventor and create your own invention!

Mechanical Engineering: Race Car Badge (GS Brownies): Design, build, and test your very own race car. Can you make the fastest car?

Budding Entrepreneur Badge (GS Brownies): Become an entrepreneur by creating an idea, testing it, and pitching it to your troop!

Fair Play Badge (GS Brownies): Learn how to play fair with team based games. Work together to include everyone, follow the rules, and HAVE FUN!

Automotive 1: Design Badge (GS Juniors): Want to take a ride in your dream car? Design it! Learn how to design and craft a working prototype of your vehicle, then take it for a spin.

Business Jumpstart Badge (GS Juniors): Do you have what it takes to craft a business? Learn how to think like a real entrepreneur and come up with a business idea. Plan it out, build a prototype, and present it to your troop!

Drawing Badge (GS Juniors): Girls Scouts will learn a variety of drawing techniques including: shading, perspective, horizon lines and creating three dimensional objects. Each Junior will finish their session at SPARK! with their own still life masterpiece!

Jewelry Badge (GS Juniors): Girls Scouts will explore the history and importance of jewelry in different cultures. The girls will look at beads from around the world, the materials they are made from, and will learn basic jewelry making techniques by exploring different tools, metals, and wires.  Each Junior will finish their session at SPARK! with their own jewelry keepsake!

Potter Badge (GS Juniors): Girl Scouts will explore the history of pottery in different cultures and its importance on civilization. The girls will dive into basic techniques of building a post such as how to handle clay, helpful tools to use in pottery, and important techniques to create a lasting product. Each scout will finish their session with their own air-dry pottery masterpiece!

Detective Badge (GS Juniors): Get a clue! Take a closer look at what skills detectives use to solve mysteries, and then solve your very own at SPARK!

Mechanical Engineering: Balloon Car Badge (GS Juniors): Learn about kinetic and potential energies and craft a balloon powered car!

Savvy Shopper Badge: (GS Juniors): Who doesn’t love shopping? Identify Needs and Wants, then discover how to budget for both! See how your budget works by using SPARKBux at the SPARKShop and “buy” various items to test if you break the bank or not!

Scribe Badge (GS Juniors): To write, or not to write? Explore poetry and words to find out how you can encourage, entertain, and excite audiences with your writing. Then, craft your very own poem to present to your troop!

Comic Artistry Badge (GS Cadettes): WHAM! Discover the world of comics and learn how to make your own using a plethora of different ideas to spark your creativity!

Book Artist Badge (GS Cadettes): Dive into the intricate art of Book Binding and Paper Making. Craft your own paper from natural, recycled materials, and bind it into your very own, personalized journal!

Business Creator Badge (GS Cadettes): Do you have the need to succeed? Learn how to successfully outline a business plan and pitch it to SPARK! Judges. Craft a plan and a prototype and learn how to get down to business!

Public Speaker Badge (GS Cadettes): Learn the skills to become a strong public speaker by practicing body language, diction, and performance skills. Let your voice be heard by writing out a speech to give to your troop!

Build It! Badge (BSA Webelos): Knowing how to use tools properly is a skill everyone can benefit from and with the Build It! Badge, Webelos Scouts will have a chance to learn the basics of building and apply their knowledge in designing their own six-foot long plank bridge using saws, hammers, screwdrivers and drills!

AoL Elective Adventure: Art Explosion (BSA Webelos): Explore the wild art and creativity of SPARK! and discover how art can affect you! Then, create your very own piece of art to express yourself and affect others.

Pottery Badge (GSA & BSA All Levels): Scouts will explore the history of pottery in different cultures and its importance on civilization. Painting Badge (GSA & BSA All Levels): Scouts will learn a variety of painting techniques including: mixing colors to creating different moods, exploring texture techniques and paint mediums, and learning landscape basics. Each scout will finish their session at SPARK! with their own landscape masterpiece!

Art Merit Badge (BSA All Levels): Learn about all sorts of art forms and learn how the six principles of design! Using your newfound knowledge of art, create or design something!

Graphic Arts Merit Badge (BSA All Levels): Discover the wonders of Graphic Art by creating your very own stencil to use on our Screen Printing machine at SPARK!
