Social Media Manager
Reports to: Director of Programs
Position Summary: Responsible for all communications, internal and external, and ensuring that communication is consistent and compelling. Internally assuring that employees are aware of happenings of the organization and externally representing the organization to stakeholders, interested parties and the public.
Responsibilities:
Develop and produce content to engage and educate audiences across various channels, including e-news, graphics, website, and social media, in keeping with brand voice and style.
Promote goodwill and raise awareness through publicity efforts
Lead development and execution of long-term and project-based communications strategies.
Maintain brand strategy and integrity
Oversee communications to best leverage positioning, budget and opportunistic messages to all visitors.
Research and collect information and data for content and communication strategy in support of mission.
Organize marketing outreach, create social sharing toolkits, managing day-of social media and more.
Maintain social media calendar for all social media platforms in use including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and any other channels activated.
Tracking, evaluating performance and adjusting actions as indicated for best results.
Proactively identify opportunities for promoting SPARK! and the importance of creativity for children.
Pitch media and secure stories for placement.
Assist with fundraising events and campaigns.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or public relations.
3 – 5 years experience in communications, marketing and public relations.
Highly organized, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability and desire to stay plugged-in to what’s happening in the mass media, education, the arts and popular culture.
Proactive, takes initiative.
Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
Great attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPress, Adobe design applications.
Knowledgeable in digital and social platforms and metrics such as web site traffic, google analytics and social traffic measures.
Ability to quickly learn and become proficient in new software systems
Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to work independently and also as a member of the team.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to thrive under pressure and on deadline.
Energy, enthusiasm and self-confidence in building relationships for SPARK!

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
