SPARK! is excited to announce a week full of events to celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Week, which is designed to bring creative ideas to life.
At SPARK! our mission to ignite the spark of creativity inherent in all children is critical for so many reasons. We know that children who define themselves as creative have higher self-esteem, better problem solving skills, score higher on their SATs, and go further in their education. We know that it is critical for youth in Dallas to have opportunities to develop their creativity through total creative immersion, an experience they will only find at SPARK!
That is why we are launching a brand new series of events during World Creativity and Innovation Week. These events will include both children and adults, allowing them to leave their creative mark on this new facility. It will also help spur on dialogue about creativity and its importance.
World Creativity and Innovation Week 2018 is April 15-21, and we have many exciting volunteer opportunities!
April 15: Corporate/Adult Volunteer Opportunity (9am-12pm)
This is an opportunity for corporate groups and adults to come help bring SPARK! to life by decorating climb and crawl tubes, decorating and hanging butterflies, and more!
April 17: Open Volunteer Opportunity (9am-12pm)
This opportunity is for adults and teenagers to help bring SPARK! to life by decorating climb and crawl tubes, decorating and hanging butterflies, and more!
April 20: Open Volunteer Opportunity (9am-12pm)
This opportunity is for adults who want to help set up for an event taking place at SPARK! We will be setting up chairs and tables, sweeping and dusting, and more to transform our open space into a creative platform for a panel discussion.
